A graduate of Heald Business College, I earned my degree in Business and Computer Science in 1982. I worked in the technological world of Silicon Valley for many years following my graduation before moving to Sacramento. Upon my arrival in Sacramento, I began my nonprofit career work at Jesuit High School and from there moved to Christian Brothers High School until I finally found my way to Cristo Rey High School. When I originally joined Cristo Rey in 2010, I served as the Executive Assistant to the President and Development Coordinator. After taking a 2 year hiatus from the school in 2015, I am back and looking forward to my new position as the Work-Study Program Director. I am extremely excited to have this opportunity to work more closely with our Work-Study partners and most especially with the students. I am committed to strengthening the Work-Study department and look forward to learning how to better serve our sponsors, our community and most importantly, our students. I am absolutely thrilled to once again be a part of the CRHSS team!

I'm Liz, and I'm a Cristo Rey High School alum from the graduating class of 2014. I attended both Sacramento City College and Cosumnes River College to further my pursuit of Journalism Studies and have been a part of the college paper for both facilities, as a writer and an Editor-in-Chief. I have a passion for art and history, as well as reading and video game/animation media!

As a graduate from the Cristo Rey High School class of 2015, I am excited to be back in this community and joining the Work-Study team. After Cristo Rey, I went on to attend California State University, Sacramento and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in psychology and a Bachelor of Science Degree in criminal justice in 2020. During college I worked at the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Board of Parole Hearings, as a student assistant which I fully believe I was able to achieve with the years of working experience from Cristo Rey. I now come back to share my knowledge and advice with students because I too was in the same position once. Being a first-generation, Latina, college graduate, I know how important it is to have the resources and support system to accomplish your goals. As for the future, I hope to work for the state as a crime analyst and eventually make my way to becoming an investigator for the Department of Justice or CDCR. For now, I hope to add to my experience in working with students and their journey through the Work-Study program by showing them that it is possible to achieve what they put their mind to.
