At Cristo Rey High School Sacramento, we believe that a student's financial circumstances should never stand in the way of a college-preparatory education.

Cristo Rey High School Sacramento is a private, co-educational, college-preparatory school sponsored by the Jesuits and Sisters of Mercy. We serve underserved students throughout the Sacramento region.

CRHSS is part of the Cristo Rey Network, a national network of 41 schools providing college-preparatory education to low-income students in urban communities.

Our unique model combines Corporate Work-Study and Financial Aid to make a Cristo Rey education accessible to families throughout the Sacramento region.

We are here to provide students with the education, experience, and support they need to succeed in college, career, and life—regardless of their family's financial circumstances.

Family contributions are determined through our financial eligibility process.

How Much Will My Family Pay?

The amount your family pays is based on your annual household income and household size. CRHSS uses a sliding scale to determine each family's contribution.

Families with greater financial need generally have a lower monthly contribution, while families with fewer financial needs may be asked to contribute more.

Your Family's Contribution

• Maximum family tuition contribution: $230 per month

Every family must complete the financial eligibility process and provide the required income documentation. Our Finance Team reviews each family's information according to Cristo Rey Network financial eligibility guidelines.

Your family's financial need does not prevent your student from receiving a Cristo Rey education.

Corporate Work-Study Program

Learning in the Classroom. Growing in the Workplace.

The Corporate Work-Study Program (CWSP) is at the heart of the Cristo Rey model.

Through CWSP, students spend one day each week working at a local Sacramento-area organization. They gain real-world professional experience while their work helps offset the cost of their education.

Participating employers pay $8,000 per student to CRHSS Work Study, Inc., a nonprofit corporation affiliated with Cristo Rey High School Sacramento.

Students Work

• 5 days per month - at their assigned employer, gaining experience in a professional environment while developing skills they will use throughout high school, college, and their careers.

Before beginning their workplace assignments, incoming freshmen participate in our intensive Summer Institute where they:

Financial Assistance

We Meet Families Where They Are

• CRHSS serves a community with significant financial need. 98% of our students qualify for the federal Free or Reduced-Price Lunch program.

• Our financial assistance process is designed to consider each family's individual circumstances.

• The amount your family contributes toward tuition is determined using a sliding scale based on household income and size.

The Cristo Rey Network partners with 80 colleges and universities across the United States.

Through these partnerships, Cristo Rey graduates may receive support that can include:

Qualified Cristo Rey graduates may have the opportunity to receive institutional aid covering up to 100% of college tuition, depending on the college and the student's eligibility.
