Principal's Welcome

Greetings in the name of Jesus the Lord!

Thank you for visiting the online presence of Cristo Rey High School in Sacramento. Cristo Rey Sacramento partners with parents to provide a college preparatory education in a Catholic school environment. We are supported in our work by our religious co-sponsors: the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) and Sisters of Mercy.

Our students come from over 40 elementary and middle schools here in the Sacramento area. We partner with over 80 local community businesses and nonprofit organizations to provide our students with a work-study placement that makes their education financially attainable while also teaching them important job skills. At Cristo Rey, students engage in educational formation which embraces the whole person: mind, body, soul and spirit. We also offer students a broad range of extracurricular activities, including off campus class retreats, student organizations and clubs, and athletic programs. 

Our graduates enroll at colleges both locally and across the country. We are pleased to provide a robust and supportive college counseling program that assists students in application and admission to competitive universities as well as local community colleges. Over the course of their four years at Cristo Rey, students have the opportunity to explore their plans for higher education and complete the academic work to show their readiness to excel.

Finally, I am personally thrilled to be greeting you as Principal. From 2016 to 2023, I taught math and science at Cristo Rey, so I am both familiar with and committed to the amazing mission of our school.
